Our flagship corporate social responsibility program is one of our proudest achievements. Launched in 2007 and expanded in 2012, Khair Al Koura is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to promote integrated and locally sustainable development in an underdeveloped community. We chose to enact this program in Jordan’s Al Koura district, located in the northwest corner of the Kingdom.
Operating as a public-private partnership, Khair Al Koura addresses a wide variety of factors for improving the lives of Al Koura residents, including encouraging women’s empowerment and entrepreneurial pursuits. Through this initiative, more than 6,000 beneficiaries are actively engaged in programs designed to encourage and support income-generating opportunities.
Education is another key component of Khair Al Koura. As part of the initiative, we have established two educational robotics laboratories, and have trained hundreds of public-school teachers in advanced science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) pedagogy. We have also established a program for the provision of legal aid, and yet another for teaching computer literacy to stay-at-home moms. We have even established a labeling and packaging unit in the district, which provides training and employment support to numerous residents.
Since the establishment of Khair Al Koura, the local women involved in this initiative have founded a cooperative association designed to provide professional training and sustainable income opportunities. The association encourages women to pursue a variety of business ventures, utilizing and producing more than 320 locally-made products in order to enhance self-sufficiency, food security, and broad community development.
In 2020, the entire Khair Al Koura project was handed over to its beneficiaries, represented by the local cooperative association, making the project fully independent and self-sustaining.
Fine Academy
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide sustainable and long-term solutions to socioeconomic challenges, we recently launched our newest corporate social responsibility initiative, Fine Academy. Through Fine Academy, we are leveraging more than 60 years of technical expertise and market insights in order to provide practical training opportunities designed to give participants the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to successfully enter the workforce. With the program already underway in Jordan, we aim to eventually expand this initiative to other markets across the MENA region.
Fine Academy is the first program of its kind in the Middle East, equipping trainees with rich and valuable knowledge in the field of supply chain management. In the future, the scope of the program will expand to include other high-demand commercial fields. At the conclusion of the program, Fine Academy’s top performers are given preferential consideration for any relevant job openings within the company.

Our COVID-19 Response
At FHH, we believe in doing the right thing. Always. From the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognized our responsibility, as a wellness company, to step up and safeguard the health of our consumers, employees, and communities around the world. In early 2020, we were able to rapidly pivot our operations into the production of Fine Guard, a line of state-of-the-art personal protective equipment—including a reusable antiviral mask.
Throughout the crisis, we extended our support to governments and national institutions across the MENA region and beyond, offering antiviral masks, sterilization products, hygienic solutions, and monetary support. We also established a dedicated relief fund, exceeding USD 2 million, in order to provide much-needed aid to our countries of operation, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan, in addition to other countries like Morocco, Palestine, Italy, and the Philippines.
